Birmingham Branch elections

Birmingham UNISON Annual Elections

Every year UNISON holds elections for all its officers, senior stewards and workplace stewards at branch level. Any member can stand to become a workplace steward or a branch officer. This is not extra paid work – you would be doing this as part of your working week.

UNISON Branch Officers are subject to election by the membership of the Branch. If you are interested in standing for any positions, please look at the job role description for the post you are interested in.

The period of office runs from April 1st 2020 to March 31st 2021. The elections themselves will take place from the end of January 2019, with 3 weeks for members to vote.

Nominations must be returned to the Branch Office by 12.00 noon on 10th January 2020. Late nominations will not be accepted.

You will need to complete a nomination form for each position you wish to stand for. Nomination forms are available from the Branch Office, or download from here: Branch Officer Nomination Form.
You will find Job Descriptions for each of these positions below.

Alternatively, we can post or email you copies of the Job Role Guides from the Branch Office.
