Free Family Friendly Christmas Events

We all know Christmas time can be a very expensive time of year, with gifts, dinner and events happening all month – so to keep costs low here are some family friendly free events taking place in Birmingham this December:

Christmas Paw Patrol Trail

There is a Paw Patrol Trail is happening in Birmingham city centre this Christmas featuring models of Chase, Marshall, Skye and the gang. As part of the free event families will be able to pick up a trail map to find all the characters – running from 6th November to 3rd January.

The Snowman, Snow Play and the Postal Express at Touchwood

For another year Snow Play returns to Touchwood for Christmas time. Kids can throw pretend snowballs and play from 16th November until Christmas Eve.

Look out for special guests and festive choirs between now and Christmas.


Elf Station at Resort World Birmingham

This year there is an elf station at Resorts World Birmingham, with free festive activities for children, and a team of elves on hand to help with letters to Santa, Christmas crafts and taking photographs.

Every weekend (Saturday and Sunday) until 22nd December, from 11am-5pm.

Life Size Snow Globe at Selfridges

At Selfridges Birmingham there is currently a life size snow globe that adults and children can go inside, with a maximum of four people at a time with one ticket per group. Please note children entering the globe must be accompanied by an adult at all times.

Meet The Gruffalo

On 21st December there is the opportunity to take children to meet the Gruffalo at The Fort Shopping Centre. Children can say hello and parents can take photographs on their own devices.
