Update – Women’s & Black Members Trip to Liverpool

On Saturday 30th September, Birmingham Branch Women’s and Black Members SOG’s held a joint group trip to Liverpool  to celebrate the Year of Black Workers.

The trip was to attend the International Slavery Museum, with some free time afterward. Despite the bad weather, all 56 people who attended said they had a great time.

Tracey Mooney and Mandy Buckley shared some information and leaflets to encourage participation in the Self Organised Groups, along with giving out leaflets about becoming a steward, information about There for You (UNISON’s welfare charity) and forms to update membership details.

A raffle also took place on the coach, raising £125 for There for You.

Some of the members on the trip were unaware of some of the benefits of being in UNISON, and learnt more about what we do, along with other benefits we offer.
