UNISON, GMB and the Council met on (14th August 2025) to discuss progress on the outstanding Equal Pay Claims. UNISON understand this has taken some time since we communicated to you, in December 2024, that a framework had been agreed to end the current equal pay litigation against the council. We thank you for your on-going patience.
UNISON wrote to you in April 2025 letting you know that UNISON had been working hard, in various working groups with the council to progress the Equal Pay claims. The majority of that work is coming to an end, and the meeting of 14th August was to confirm progress, and deal with any outstanding issues. Some issues do remain; however, the meeting was very productive, and the council is working with UNISON and GMB, with the aim of meeting the timeline of Autumn/Winter 2025 for details of offers to start going out to UNISON members. More meetings are planned through September 2025 to enable us to keep on track. If there are any changes to the timeline will write to you again to advise you of this.
