Reclaim The Night Birmingham

8 March 2019 7:00pm–10:00pm

Victoria Square, Birmingham

Join us for our first Reclaim The Night march in Birmingham City centre!

We are marching to protest the pandemic of violence women face both in this country, and across the world, and to show solidarity with survivors of sexual and domestic violence.

We will be congregating in Victoria Square from 7pm, and then marching up and down Broad Street and re-grouping again in Victoria Square afterwards. Bring placards!

Placard-making events will be hosted closer to the time, and we will also be confirming speakers, so keep an eye out for updates.

WOMEN UNITE, TAKE BACK THE NIGHT! THESE STREETS ARE OURS!

Note that this march is open to all genders, but will be women-led. Our march will also be intersectional, and trans- or sex worker- exclusionary comments/behaviour will not be tolerated. This is a non-violent protest, and violence will also not be tolerated. Children under the age of 16 must be accompanied by an adult.

This march is being organised by us, the Guild of Students UoB Women’s Officers.
